Leosons Overseas Corporation Announces Acquisition of 5 National Brands from Insight Pharmaceuticals

Abany, New York – November, 2013 – Today, Leosons Overseas Corporation (Leosons) announced the acquisition of Chooz, Tanac, Triptone, Privine, and Caldecort from Insight Pharmaceuticals LLC, a leading manufacturer and marketer of over-the-counter consumer health products.

For several years, Leosons had been selling some of the above brands internationally. Additionally, the acquisition of the NICE and Fiberall brands from Insight in October of 2012 marked Leosons’ introduction into the US market, as well as international expansion of its business to territories in Asia. Leosons plans to further grow these newly acquired brands internationally while continuing to service the current and domestic US market.

John L. Ohanian, General Manager and President of Leosons said of the acquisition, “We are pleased to have completed the brand acquisition of Chooz, Tanac, Triptone, Privine, and Caldecort. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
